Colors all around you.

A friend of mine's daughter recently re-decorated her room and used a new color palette all together-from lime green to a "nautical mudslide"! I LOVED her new room and so I can say that she was my inspiration! I sit here planning on changing our bedroom colors. I am going to choose more of a sea foam blue color, so I guess it'd be a "Sea Foam Mudslide"! LOL I'm so excited to get started.

Looking at my current color palette, it dawned on me where I found my blog design inspiration. My bedroom! Burgundy & yellow... The previous owners painted the bedroom a pastel yellow. Maybe this is why my bedroom isn't relaxing (& I find it hard to sleep). Yellow is an energizing color...so the blue would be good & calming!HPIM2880

This is the general idea of what I hope to end up with...

Hi Nikowa!

Great idea for your room. I love your color choices. :)

And thanks for the comment on my blog about Frederick Douglass. That fact about him being the first African-American nominated for president surprised me too.

The browns and blues do tone it down a bit and look very restful. I love painting up a room. It is good stress relief!

This blu is actually what I want in my room! Let me know if you find a shade that works!
